Use your Parstel account as a Calling Card

You may use your Parstel account as a Calling Card by dialing into one of our access numbers available in your area. Access and authentication to the Calling Card feature is available in different ways depending on how you would like to use the service:

  • Authentication by PIN number
  • Authentication by Caller ID


PLEASE NOTE: Caller ID information can be spoofed (faked) in some cases. If you are concerned with security on your account then using PIN authentication only instead of Caller ID authentication is more secure.

By using Calling Card feature you can use your Parstel account to place calls from a regular phone such as a fixed/Mobile phone while not at home or office or when traveling. Calls placed using the Calling Card feature are billed at your account calling rates and will be deducted from your available balance.

How it Works:

  • The user dials in, using one of our global access numbers.
  • PARSTEL, assisted by the IVR server, prompts the caller to enter his/her account ID (PIN) or authurize him to call by caller ID.
  • Once the previous step is completed, the system authenticates the caller, prompts the VoIP gateway to announce the account balance to him/her, and signals him/her to dial the destination number.
  • After the destination number has been entered, the system calculates the maximum call duration and plays it back to the caller via the IVR. Once the call is completed, it is charged to the caller’s account balance.
  • The calling card user may log in to the account self-provisioning interface at any time to access call (CDRs) and payment history.
 

Simply select your number, calling plan, callout credit and include your equipment and extra features.
